All is not quite on the western front . . .

The time is December 1944. The place: the Western Front. The Allied armies are on the march, relentlessly driving the Nazis back to the German border.

In a desperate attempt to snatch victory from certain defeat, Adolf Hitler rolls the dice and orders a surprise counteroffensive against the Americans in the Belgian Ardennes.
